O n Saturday, July 19th, the 23rd Annual Jim Davenport Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Wynyard Golf Club. (Photos)

The tournament is held each year to raise funds and promote awareness for the Canadian Blood Services' OneMatch stem cell program.

Garry Finnson's bone marrow donor, Jim Davenport (Greendale Wisconsin) was in attendance this year, and he brought along his younger brother Joe, . . a first time visitor to Canada.

A great turnout of 'fun-seeking' golfers attended this year's tournament, with 54 golfers participating, along with additional guests for the supper and putt-around competition.

Some new features introduced to this year's tournament included two $5,000 Hole-In-One prizes!! The prizes were generously donated by Darren Bowen, and Graham and Alana Melsted.

A great day of non-professional golf was followed by supper, the awarding of prizes, and ended with the legendary Putt-Around.

Congratulations to this year's tournament winners, Sylvia Broad and Tim Swinburnson, and to the Putt-Around champions, Brian Fahlman (Regina) and Wayne Zemlak.

This year, the funds raised for Multiple Sclerosis' Hit-A-Ball-For-MS was $540 as well as $1,410 for the CBS OneMatch StemCell Program.
